Chic Life Kit - Framework
For a long time, I kept wondering when things would slow down.
I worked 60+ hour weeks for years and I thought I was so busy. I was, but then I had a baby. I felt what ‘busy’ truly meant. And then I had two more. Three kids in four years. So then I really thought I had a handle on what being constantly busy meant. I thought that once they were out of the toddler phase, things would get easier. In some ways it did, but then came all of the school responsibilities, friends, parties and homework . As the years have progressed, the kids are now in seemingly a million sports and clubs and still have all of the other things as before. It is just more and more.
So I am here to say, life isn’t slowing down.
I have accepted that I am less busy today than I will be tomorrow and that acceptance is critical in meeting my goals. There is no point in waiting until tomorrow when I can do something today. I’ll only have more on my plate tomorrow and if I do have a lull I will get a nice rest. ‘Future Lisa’ will thank me for putting in the work now.
I have identified 3 areas of life that need to be in alignment for me in order to feel at peace. It is the Chic Life Kit framework, which started on Pinterest as a visual reminder to me of my goals.
The five areas are:
Wellness - Physical and Mental Health
Career - Fulfillment in my work, finances and productivity
Style and Design - Fashion, Home and Accessories that are in peace with my aesthetic
As I work through these over the upcoming weeks and months, I am keeping my main goals in mind. And they are big. So get ready to come along to reach your life goals too!
